Day 1 & 2 - Lake Bled
Arrival at Brnik Airport in Slovenia at your desired time. Transport from the airport to the apartment in Bled where you can settle down, unpack and rest before our possible sunset shoot.
Sunset will be capturing unique images of Lake Bled island, church and surrounding mountains!
After our sunset shoot, we will have a meet and greet dinner to conclude our first day in Slovenia.
Nothing says Slovenia more than Lake Bled! Our first location on day two will be shooting sunrise at Lake Bled either from the lower boardwalk or incredible panoramic viewpoint.
After sunrise, we will walk back along the Lakes edge to capture the unique details of Lake Bled using different focal ranges.
Sunset will be overlooking the Julian Alps from a viewpoint that requires no hiking.
Day 3 - Julian Alps
Sunrise shoot at Jamnik Church, one of the most iconic churches in Slovenia!
A day session at Pericnik waterfall, a truly unique location and a hidden gem of waterfalls in Europe. As a result of this, it does require a 25min incline walk to reach the viewpoint and walk behind the waterfall.
After this, our day is topped off with an alpine lake, Lake Jasna looking onto the Julian Alps a picturesque location to finish off an epic day of photography.
Day 4 - Lake Bohinj
The often overlooked but equally as beautiful (if not more) Lake Bohinj will be our Sunrise mission. Surrounded by 2000+m mountains in a glacier valley this Lake is a must for any photographer.
After sunrise, we will venture to Mostnica Gorge to change our focus from epic landscapes to details in the scenes.
Sunset will be another iconic church, one of almost 3000 churches in Slovenia. Sveti Tomaz, nestled on a hill with a mountainous background this yet again caps off another perfect day of photography.
Day 5 – Vršič Pass to Soča Region
Sunrise will be overlooking Zelenci a natural spring topped with 3000m mountains in the background.
After sunrise we will make the journey to the Soca region over the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, photographing one of Europe’s most iconic rivers – Soca River.
Here we will be focusing on filters, focusing on long exposures and polarisers to enhance the photos.
Sunset will be at Log Pod Mangartom an ideal village nestled in the northern part of Slovenia.
Day 6 – Bovec (Soča Region)
Today we have a well deserved morning off enjoying a rest before another big day of photographing around the Soca region.
Today we will be photographing waterfalls and rivers with a heavy focus on composition and framing. We’ll learn how to use a wide-angle lens in different situations to find foreground elements, leading lines and use colour to our advantage.
Sunset will see us drive to the highest road that Slovenia has to offer at 2055m. Here we will feel surrounded by the highest mountains in Slovenia. This location is weather dependent, and alternative sites are available.
Day 7 – Lake Bled
Farewell breakfast and coffee before your departure flight. Private transport back to Brnik airport at a scheduled time arranged beforehand.
Sunrise shoot is possible if you have an afternoon flight or booked extra days.
Extra days of shooting are possible in other regions of Slovenia but need to be arranged prior to arrival.
During our 7-day Slovenia Photography Tour, we will visit numersous waterfalls, vistas, mountain passes and lakes surrounded by 3000m+ mountains.
Photographing these locations during the golden hour will allow us to improve our desired skills. In addition, our week-long workshop will demonstrate many different photography styles in landscape photography.
This Slovenia Photo Workshop is a perfect blend of improving your landscape photography skills. However, we will also have the chance to capture the Northern Lights.
In conclusion, a week-long workshop surrounded by great people, everlasting memories in the European hidden alpine gem of Slovenia.
